I once thought of love as reckless and selfish,

A thing that people crave and wish,

An action that turns intelligent people foolish,

A feeling that will soon perish

But when I met you in surprise,

Never seen such beauty in disguise,

No feeling as powerful arise

The moment I gazed into your eyes

I love how the sound of your voice harmonizes

With each beat of my heart

I love the way each syllable sensitizes,

Leaving my firm façade to fall apart

Now, as I define love, it is more than an action,

More than a companion,

More than affection,

More than a lesson

Now, as I define love, I imagine your eyes

Such shine will last until the last star dies.
